2009 GNT Tri team selection

1.  In the absence of a 2009 GNT Provincial Championships race, three races have been identified as selection races for the 2009 GNT Provincial Triathlon team selection.

• 14 December 2008    Joburg City Tri Series event 1

• 8 February 2009        Joburg City Tri Series event 2 (Central Gauteng Provincial Championships)

                                    Same venue as SA Triathlon Championship on 21 March 2009

• 17 January 2009        Northwest Triathlon Championships

- You must participate in the correct distance and age group category.

2.  All TSA registered GNT athletes participating in these events must enter the event with their TSA number.  Only if your TSA Number appears next to your name on the results sheet of the event, you will be eligible for GNT team selection.

3.  A decision has been taken by TSA that as from 1 November 2008 all events for the age group categories 8-9 and 10-11 will be non-competitive.  Please see ”Junior Age Groups”.

4.       The 2009 SA Triathlon Championships is scheduled for 21 March 2009 at Germiston.

5.       The 2009 GNT Triathlon team will be selected after the Joburg City Tri Series on 8 February 2009.
